Recipe
Heat a little olive oil in a pan and brown the stewing beef briefly if desired.
Add onion, garlic, and carrots to the slow cooker.
Add the beef, chopped tomatoes, tomato paste, beef stock, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and black pepper.
Stir gently to combine.
Cook on LOW for 8 hours or HIGH for 4–5 hours.
Shred or break up the beef before serving.
Serve with pasta.
